Five years ago a mural just like this one adorned the side of Mary’s Bar located near the intersection of Montrose and Westheimer. Eventually, it was painted over and last June it was recreated just prior to Houston’s Pride Parade.
I took this photo a month ago, and now… unfortunately it has been painted over again with the promise from its artists that it will “eventually” show up in another location soon.
A key figure in the mural (the cat!) is on the side of our office at Dunlavy and Vermont!! Mary's lives on at ULR!
